Famous for its white cliffs, as immortalised in song by Dame Vera Lynn, Dover is one of Britain’s major ports, served with cross channel ferry services to Calais in France. It is situated in Kent, which has been described as ‘the garden of England.’
Whilst there isn’t much in Dover to keep you entertained, there is plenty in the local area which is worth seeing. A short journey from Dover away is the historic town of Canterbury, with its magnificent cathedral. The nearby towns of Ramsgate, Margate, Ashford and Rochester are also worth a trip, while the bright lights of London are just an hour and a half away.
Outside of the city, the neighbouring towns of Kings-Lynn, Newmarket and Bury St. Edmunds are all within close proximity of Cambridge. Other East-Anglian settlements such as Norwich, Ipswich and Peterborough are all within 90 minutes drive.
In addition to coach hire, we can also arrange for a range of additional services, including transfers to and from Dover’s ferry port. In fact, we can offer a door-2-door cruise transfer service from any part of the UK, simply visit our sister site, Ports Direct for further information.
If you require other services, such as catering, accommodation and even ticket booking, we can provide these to ensure that your trip is a complete success.
